“Loyalty is your lesson. Loyalty to your friends, to your ashram mates. It’s important they feel your caring. Words are good. But action is even better. You need to show them you care. Not effusive, but with real intent. Help them to know, without a doubt, that you are thinking of them, and of their highest welfare. That they matter to you. You are their lifeline to Master, and even more so, to Swamiji. For many, you are their model for what a true disciple looks like, acts like, thinks like, treats others like. Like it or not, you are their role model, at least as long as you keep their respect. Once you lose that, there is little you can do to help them. Be their true friend. Never giving up on them. Let them know that they are important to you. That way they know God loves them, because they have tangibly experienced being lovable.”
