Dear Divine Ma,
What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?
“It’s time to turn your attention to the point of all sadhana.”
What is the point?
“It’s to make contact with the Divine.”
Do I need to do a certain quantity of some particular technique in order to fulfill that point? “No. But giving yourself regularly and faithfully to sadhana using whatever techniques work for you—that is important. Which technique you emphasize is less important. That you truly want to make contact every day is important, and literally the only thing that matters. Each person has their own unique path to that contact. But the desire to connect is both universal, and the sine qua non—the thing without which connection to the Divine is rare and hard to find. You must really want the Divine to find It. She won’t make Herself known if you don’t really care.”
That word “ want “ is so important and has been brought to light in this beautiful blog !
Thank you 🙏
Dearest Promilla,
Isn’t it true that without wanting to connect, nothing much happens? We can huff and puff with all our fancy pranayams, but without a desire to connect, it so often comes to naught. “The desire to connect is . . . the sine qua non—the thing without which connection to the Divine is rare and hard to find.”
