Dear Divine Ma,
What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?
Hearing the AUM is important even with ears wide open. It’s there, at least, the rushing of ocean waves returning back to the sea (5th chakra). Sometimes I hear that one, sometimes the roar of all the ocean waves at a distance, or the roar of an immense waterfall like Yosemite Falls or Multnomah Falls near Portland, Oregon. They tell me this sound comes from the 6th, or agya chakra. That’s the most soothing of the sounds, though today even the constant 5th chakra of water rushing back down the sand returning to the ocean after each breaking wave is very soothing, very comforting.
A reminder that God is always there with us, no matter what. And yes, today at least, as Swami would often tell us, the AUM was quite loud, unmistakable. Though for me on most days its volume is still somewhat illusive. It’s not easy for me to discern the AUM in most sadhanas. Only in the past couple months has it been making itself known. 40 years after beginning my adventures with Hong Sau, Om Technique and Kriya Yoga! It’s difficult for most people to stay persistent over that length of time. You must really want to test our sincerity, Divine Ma!
