“Its time to give up all things that keep you from Me. Whatever blocks your energy from flowing out to others, or up to Oneness with Me, its time for that to go. Blessed are the poor in spirit. What does that mean? It means to be aware at all times of what is truly important. All that doesn’t lift you into Oneness with Spirit is unimportant—is even blocking you from tuning into Spirit. He is ‘poor in spirit’ who puts all one’s available energy, not into the world, but only into activities that support a buildup—an awareness—of Spirit being more and more the priority in one’s life. That which leads you Godward is of the spirit. That which leads you toward the world and the senses, is of ego, and materialism. It’s time to choose. Which is most important to you: the world, or Spirit?”
