Dear Divine Ma,

What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?

The cricket sound that fills the silence around my meditation room this morning is beguiling. I don’t want it to stop, and it obliges me accordingly. Been hearing it, today, for 30 minutes straight without end. It’s so silent and yet the silence is filled with this aspect of AUM as loud as I ever hear it. It does increase and decrease a bit, but mostly rolls on without interruption. Is this sound always present, yet I am too preoccupied with things of the world to notice it?

“Yes, my dear boy, this sound is always present. If only you could be truly present, you too would experience it. It is the language of My heart. It’s the string upon which the pearls of life are strung. This sound is what ties all life on the planet (and on others) together. The glue of the entire universe. You are hearing what few hear, because it’s the skeleton within all life, unseen and unperceived by most. And yet it’s the most pervasive sinew that holds our seen material world together. Truly the connecting tissue of all that is.
