Dear Divine Ma,
What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?
“Today it’s about spiritual hunger. I mean the passion with which one goes after God. Without that passion, that burning desire to know God, all the huffing and puffing in the world won’t get the job done. If you don’t really want it, nothing’s going to come to you. The Divine is no exception. You want God to show up for you, but do you truly want to know Him? Is there a fire in your belly to have that happen? I know you would be overjoyed when it happens, but that’s not quite the same as being on fire with yearning that makes it happen no counting the cost. When you want something badly enough, you’ll do whatever it takes to get it. But if your desire is wishy washy, where’s the motivation—the drive that’s going to make it happen? That’s why so many men need the shakti of a motivated woman to get them moving forward. Monks have nothing to fall back on but their own inner fire. How about you? Can you find that fire burning within? That’s the only way to rise above the ordinary.”
