What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?
It’s a Kriya Retreat with Devarshi. What a magnificent meditation. Inside the sushumna was so clearly where today’s meditation had ended up. It was like a highway straight up and even through the middle of my body. It never bent, but was continuously straight through as high as I could cognize above me. I never seem to be able to stay in this consciousness for long. Sometimes I fear criticism or ridicule from my teaching peers—sometimes I just run out of stamina. It often feels a lot like I used to try to describe my best meditations to my parents: that kriya meditation took as much from me physically as my most successful teenage athletic efforts took. It takes such intense attention, concentration, focus, perseverance, as my most competitive moments ever took. And sustained efforts were always more challenging for me than quick bursts of extreme effort. Unfortunately, some things never change…
