Dear Divine Ma,

What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?

“Sincerity. It’s time to be sure you mean what you say. Affirmation isn’t enough if you aren’t even trying to succeed at what you affirmed. Saying ‘I’m a yogi’ without being a yogi is hypocrisy. Do not be guilty of that in your life. It’s your job to follow through on what you say you’re going to do. It’s so important, and Swami always ensured in his own life, to be a man of your work. If you say you’re going to do something, don’t just jawbone about it. Do it. Even better, do it now! Your magnetism will increase the more you stick to your word. People will admire you, and even more important, God will believe you. You can never fool God anyway. In actuality, even people are not fooled. We know each other so much better than we know ourselves. Everyone knows the kind of person we are. We are an open book to those around us. It’s no use trying to appear different than you are. Almost instantly everyone sees the reality of our habits and our attitudes. So why try to hide it? Might just as well be who you really are.”
