Dear Divine Ma,
What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?
“Today it’s about respect. Respecting that other people have their own strengths about the ways in which they love God. Everyone does not use the same techniques, the same tools, the same prayers, the same bhav. Yet all devoted souls find a set of tools that work to make their connection with the only God there is. Judge no one by whether their ways look exactly like your ways or not. Likewise, let no one else judge you—or at least don’t let yourself feel judged—by anyone no matter now high up they might be in the hierarchy of their own spiritual lineage. Your own path to God is your business, and no one else’s. Each sincere seeker finds the exact mix of tools that works for them. Respect and admire each person for their own unique equation for what finds God. There is no one right way. There is only one goal. One destination. One unity. And all sincere seekers seek that one unity. Bless them all each and every one.”
Thank you Biraj for the lovely blog
And thank YOU for following this blog. It is not really my blog. Divine Mother is the One who does the real work. I am merely a willing scribe.
Just what I needed to hear at the time I needed it.
Hey there, Gopal, dear friend. The paths are many, yet the goal is One. Your own path to God is your business, and no one else’s. We’re all going the same place in consciousness. How we get there is unique to each one of us. It’s taken me 40 years to realize that my particular collection of spiritual tools, even compared to others on my own chosen path, is going to look somewhat different than that other person’s collection of tools that work for them. “Master” Yogananda gave us like a hundred specific tools we could pick up to use on “the Path.” If you pick up ten of those, and I pick up another ten, as long as they are all his tools, who should complain? Our Festival of Light, each Sunday morning, talks about worshipping the One Light. All the other tools come from that One Light. As long as we are headed to that Light with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, don’t let anybody tell you you’re going wrong!
