Dear Divine Ma,
What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?
I am learning to be quiet—a hard lesson for a person as rajasic as I am. I have been a ‘Doer’ all my life. A true karma yogi. Not, unfortunately, always thinking only of God as I am ‘doing’, but nonetheless, known for doing. Not always adored for all I tried to do. Certainly not always successful in all I do. But a Doer, certainly. Now as I approach 72 years of age, I realize that my life is needing to shift from doing, to spending more time ‘being.’ The time I’m secluding at the Ananda Meditation Retreat could be just the restart this Doer needs to transition more to Being. What do you think, Divine Ma?
“Yes, more being ‘would become you nicely,’ as your dear teacher Swamiji told you when years ago he ordained you as a spiritual minister for Ananda. Let his words be your guide!”
