Dear Divine Ma,
What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?
“When you offer a kirtan or a class, don’t worry about how many come, or even ‘if they like it.’ You are not a part of some popularity contest. Same with singing solos. Your task throughout life is to do what is right, to do your best from the core of your being—not to attract the biggest crowd or the most ‘likes’ on Facebook. Your job is to be a clear conduit for my vibration, not for your ego. As a Nayaswami, remember: you do not exist anymore. Don’t let your personality become the manipulator of what you accomplish. Let God lead, and all will come out as it is supposed to. When you are in charge, you make a mess of things. You get tense, irritable, barking orders and making others around you unhappy. When you allow God’s flow to come through you, then you are relaxed, loose, cheerful, and people around you have a good time. And remember, if you worry about being popular, you tense up and lose your flow. Let God be the Doer. That’s when what you do flows at its best. You are not in charge. This is God’s zoo. Let Him take care of the details. All you are responsible for is showing up with right attitude.”
