Dear Divine Ma,

What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?

What is it that happens that brings You into my meditations? All the ingredients seem always to be the same, everything except perhaps the final result. After Kriyas, and (usually after) Jyoti mudra, my head tilts back, resting more on the shoulders than on the neck. The shoulders get pressed back against the top of the chair, the chest gets lifted as from a string at the sternum, the hips get pushed further and further away from the back of the chair. Is this straightening, or arching, the spine and back? The eyes gaze intently behind closed eyes, becoming riveted at the spiritual eye. Then it seems to be up to me how completely I get drawn up in my concentration/focus/awareness. My attention latches onto whatever it is that responds to my attention high above and in front of my forehead. It can be alternately a swirl of energy or warm nurturing bright light—even a pillar of energy or light at times. I don’t hear, or even see it, as much as feel it.
