Dear Divine Ma,
What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?
“How much do you want God? It seems that your desire for God is somewhat wishy-washy. You want God when it’s convenient—when it doesn’t get in the way of your other desires, isn’t that so? Sleep, eat, body pleasure, even news all seems to hold a higher place of honor in your daily priority of ‘to do’s.’ Only when all these are satisfied, then you might deign to spend some time in sadhana. You know darn well that those choices are not going to cut it if finding God is a true priority for you. There is only one way to find God, and that is to put all your heart, all your strength AND your priority of time into the effort. Any other choice is doomed to failure. ‘Half-ass’ efforts bring half-ass results. If you don’t truly want God, it would be better to own up to that fact and stop being a hypocrite. Do what you say you’re going to do, otherwise stop spouting goals that are not your own!”
