Dear Divine Ma,
What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?
“It’s time to put all of yourself into your sadhana.”
How can I do more?
“Set your alarm and respond to it. Get to bed earlier. Join the others whenever they’ve created a group meditation. Make that a priority. Consider using your sadhana chart with numerical ratings as to the quality of each day’s sadhana. Assume that there is further to aspire spiritually than you have succeeded so far. If you keep thinking ‘But I’ve found God,’ then you might be tempted to stop trying. If you think you’ve already ascended to the highest part of a mountain, you might not push to see what’s beyond the peak that lies just in front of you. But the Great Ones tell you there is more, much more. Don’t stall out just because you are content with what you’re getting. There is more to experience. God is bigger than that!”
God says: “You are being entirely too hard on yourself. Not that effort isn’t required. Bullying yourself into Me, though, isn’t going to work. It’s got to be fun. You have to find a way to make it fun.”
Sorry to be so tardy in responding. You make a very good point, and I do believe what you say to be true. Joy is my greatest motivator. And experiencing the bliss of a deep meditation is the best motivator I know of. That’s what makes the spiritual effort fun! So partly what I’m feeling is when I’ve experienced some of what is possible from our spiritual path, why don’t I throw myself into our practices more consistently, without interruption? Rather than beating myself up, its more like a puzzlement over why I’m not more consistent in my efforts. The path works when I actually do it. By the way, I’m trying to figure if this is a Jack whom I know personally, or someone who found our website/blog by some other method? Just curious …
