What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?
“Let’s do about dedication today.”
Is that an issue with which I have a challenge in my life?
“No, you are dedicated in your own way. But there is a large dose of indep thinking mixed in there. You like to do what you want to do.”
True. But isn’t it all ultimately aiming toward awareness of the Divine in my life?
“Well, dedication in the abstract to a principle is a bit wobbly when you don’t include loyalty and discipleship. Without these two traits, dedication lacks a focus. One can be dedicated to peace, but without willingness to follow one leader’s plan of action, that dedication can get widely dispersed and watered down. Dedication is fine as long as it gets focus of purpose and follow through of action. Otherwise, it’s just an empty sentiment. We must put our ideals into real life action in order to support God’s will. Diving deep within provides the fuel of what can then be used to manifest those ideals out into the world. We find God in sadhana, and then take that experience out and share it with others!
