What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?
“Today it’s about devotion. If you only think your way onto the path, you’ll be missing out
building the bridge of the heart. It’s the heart that builds the strongest bonds between you and
the focus of your concentration. Without devotion your path is merely a head-trip. If there is
not enough cement in the mortar that holds the bricks, a wall will not stay standing. Likewise,
for your sadhana, if you don’t love the Lord God, or the Guru, or even the Light, enough. Love is
the cement that holds your sadhana together. Isn’t that so? You need to flood the object of
your affection with the deepest love of your heart if you expect him or her to respond to the
call. If you merely think about Divine Mother as if She were your mistress, She will refuse. But if
you call Her with all the love you can muster, how can She resist?”
