Dear Divine Ma,

What Do You Want Me to Learn Today?

It’s so hard to be REALLY good.

“Is it? Why does it seem so? It’s only because you have false notions of what will bring you happiness. How many of the habits you are so attached to ever bring you joy for more than a blink of an eye. Desires of the senses never bring a happiness that lasts. What are the joys that last? They are all the things that make up dharma. Doing right is what works in the long run. Whims and desires always fade. Doing God’s will is where true lasting joy is found. Nowhere else—no matter how much you yearn for those evanescent happinesses of your desires.”
